Hammer has been trained in the art of blood trailing deer. Last year, at less than a year old, he found his first deer.  At the end of the 2006 -2007 deer season he found 14  deer. Three of those deer had been shot with multible deer in the area and he was able to distinguis the blood of the wounded deer and track it down. Hammer also has a tremdous drive to find hiden articles.
